9-Town News Superintendent Article - November 2005
Seasons Greetings! I hope that you and your families are healthy and enjoying life as we enter into the holiday season. Particularly at this time of year, it is wise to slow down and appreciate our true treasures- family and friends. My son, Robbie, just turned 10…almost a teenager! My daughter, Danielle, is now a big pre-schooler! Time does fly, so please take time to enjoy your treasures.
I am delighted to share with you that I have entered into a long-term agreement with the Mohawk Trail Regional School System (through June 2010). Although the challenges ahead are substantial, I have a great deal of confidence that our school system will emerge stronger than ever. I make this assertion to a large degree based on my observations within the schools and towns these past several months; the people of Mohawk are dedicated to students, talented, and hard working. I deeply admire these qualities.
Because Mohawk is clearly a wonderful place to raise a family, my wife, Barbara, and I look forward to putting down roots within the community. Our plan is to build a home and move-in sometime next summer so that our children enter the Mohawk School System next school year. In the meantime, I will endure the long commute from Ludlow. We look forward to being one of your neighbors!
