Using Epytext to Create Simple Web Documents

Epytext is a simple set of markup characters that can help you make a very nice looking page without using any HTML code. When you go to 'Create Page' on our old web site, you can use these tags to spruce up your page. The 'Help' link on the 'Create Page' page is an abbreviated version of this file.

  • To create separate paragraphs... put two carriage returns at the end of the paragraph.
  • To create a numbered list... Indent several spaces and precede your text with a number.
  • To create bold text... enter B{your bold text}.
  • To create italic text... enter: I{your italic text}.
  • To create a link... U{Link text here < link here >}
For example, the following input in the 'Create Page' text field...

This is a paragraph.

This is another paragraph.

This is a list:

1. Item one...
2. Item two...
3. item three...
To create bold text... enter B{your bold text} like this.

To create italic text... enter I{your italic text} like this.
